Job Description

Airport Lineman

Under the direction and supervision of the Airport Manager, the Airport Lineman may be responsible for airport grounds maintenance, customer service, and aircraft refueling procedures.

Essential Duties

  • Refueling of aircraft while maintaining safety
  • Monitor flight line and guest safety
  • Operate aircraft tug
  • Maintain clear verbal and handwritten skills
  • Assist pilots and passengers on arrival and departure
  • Assist in general cleaning of airport lounge and terminal
  • Answer phones in a polite and professional manner
  • Customer service, including customer issues, cash and credit card transactions
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Hours

Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and a variety of shifts.

None

Work Environment

While performing the duties of the job, employee will work primarily in an outdoor setting. Employee will also work inside to perform various tasks. A professional and courteous work environment must be maintained at all times.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to touch, handle, grasp, push, pull, and lift up to 30lbs. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to withstand a range of outside weather conditions (heat/cold, rain/snow, etc.)

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Some knowledge of the aircraft, and airport operations is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Positive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily workload without constant supervision.
  • Ability to work well and communicate effectively within a team environment.
