The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar while delivering an exceptional guest experience and driving profitability. This role manages all bar staff, scheduling, inventory control, ordering, wine programming, and compliance with health and liquor regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive beverage knowledge, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to create an energetic and welcoming bar atmosphere. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop bar staff Lead and manage daily bar operations to ensure efficiency and high service standards Create staff schedules based on business levels and forecasted volume Interact with guests to build loyalty, enhance the guest experience, and professionally resolve concerns Develop and maintain a premier wine and beverage program Ensure all liquor, health, and safety licenses and certifications remain current and compliant Enforce all food safety, alcohol service, and sanitation standards Monitor liquor costs, inventory levels, waste, and sales performance to maintain profitability Conduct regular inventory counts and oversee ordering of beer, liquor, wine, and bar supplies Build and maintain relationships with vendors to negotiate pricing, introduce new products, and develop promotions Collaborate with management and marketing teams on beverage features, events, and promotional programming Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout all bar areas Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and a hospitality-driven mindset Qualifications & Skills Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills Ability to recruit, train, motivate, and manage a team Extensive knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, bar operations, and service standards Strong wine knowledge and wine service experience preferred Understanding of inventory management, budgeting, and cost controls Experience analyzing liquor costs and driving beverage sales Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Knowledge of local liquor laws and responsible alcohol service practices Alcohol awareness certifications preferred (TIPS, ServSafe, or equivalent) Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Experience developing beverage promotions and driving bar sales is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs required Location - The Farmhouse Middletown - DE - 416 S Ridge Ave #J-18808-Ljbffr
