Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Administrative Intern supports the daily operations of an integrated behavioral health program within a primary care setting at Lawndale Christian Health Center. Working closely with the Behavioral Health Assistant Director and Care Coordinator, the intern assists with group enrollment and operations, scheduling patients, applying schedule changes, supporting productivity reporting and quality improvement efforts, and organizing referral and patient education resources. This administrative role offers meaningful exposure to integrated behavioral health, including participation in didactics with clinical trainees, observation of group programming, and assistance with department event planning. The internship lasts 1 year and is ideal for recent graduates interested in a future career in mental health, healthcare administration, or public health.

Required Knowledge, Experience, or Licensure/Registration

1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred.
2. Advanced computer skills necessary; experience with reporting tools and/or within EMR preferred.
3. Basic knowledge of common mental health and substance abuse disorders, including psychopharmacology and consultation models within integrated care; ability to learn to support ongoing program development and administration.
