Job Description Job Description Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries (MPCM) is currently seeking a Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team on site to support the financial operations of the church. This part-time (approx. 16 hours a week) role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, a heart for service, and experience in basic accounting practices. The position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the church’s mission through responsible stewardship. Responsibilities: Record and maintain accurate financial data for accounting records Assist with payroll recordkeeping Assist with annual financial reviews and audit preparation Ensure compliance with internal controls and church policies Check the accuracy of business transactions Perform data entry and other administrative duties Qualifications: Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields Familiarity with accounting software (Quickbooks) Ability to prioritize and multitask Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to protect confidential information with integrity Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Deadline and detail-oriented Commitment to the values and mission of Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries Company Description For over 95 years, Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries (MPCM) ( has served as a resource for spiritual, physical, mental, and educational needs for Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and the surrounding municipalities.
