Base pay range $20.00/hr - $30.00/hr A retail company is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team this holiday season! This is a temporary, hybrid position based in Chicago, running from the beginning of November through the end of February, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours/week. The role offers competitive pay of $20–$30 per hour. You’ll primarily focus on accounts payable (AP), keeping vendors paid, records accurate, and operations running smoothly during one of our busiest periods of the year. This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced retail environment and make a direct impact on the team’s success. Mack & Associates offers benefits including medical, PTO and 401k. Key Responsibilities Process and code vendor invoices and employee reimbursements. Reconcile accounts payable (AP) transactions and ensure timely payments. Maintain accurate and organized financial records. Support month‑end closing and other accounting tasks as needed. Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies. Help improve processes and maintain efficient accounting systems. Qualifications Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required. Experience with NetSuite preferred. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Excellent time‑management and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment (remote and in‑office). Organized, proactive, and able to support a team effectively.
