Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Clinical Assistant/Medical Assistant to join their team. The role involves a balanced mix of clinical and administrative duties, with a strong focus on providing quality care to patients.


Key Responsibilities
  • Approximately 50% clinical duties including rooming patients, taking vitals, and assisting providers.
  • Approximately 50% administrative tasks such as referrals, prior authorizations, scheduling, insurance processing, and phone calls.
  • Manage patient volumes of 15-20 per clinic session with physicians capped at 10-12 patients per day.
  • Emphasize quality of care over productivity.
Qualifications
  • DOH Certified MA (CMA or MA-C).
  • BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
  • Vaccination attestation/documentation for COVID and Hepatitis B.
  • Comfort and experience in a primary care setting.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with EPIC/MyChart or other EMR systems.
  • Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics.
  • Up to 12 months post-certification experience; open to less experienced candidates depending on clinic.
  • Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
Additional Requirements
  • Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM, with a break from 12-1 PM.
  • Some clinics may have extended hours from 7 AM-7 PM.
  • Onboarding involves system logins, compliance training, and orientation on the first day, followed by 2-3 weeks of shadowing/training with MA trainers.
