We’re seeking a  Medical Assistant II to support both  clinical and  front-office operations in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role helps ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and an excellent patient experience from check-in through follow-up.

Responsibilities

Clinical / Back Office

Room patients; obtain and document vitals and chief complaint

Prepare patients for exams and assist providers with procedures as needed

Perform EKGs, injections/immunizations, venipuncture/specimen collection (as applicable)

Collect, label, and process lab specimens; maintain infection control standards

Update patient histories, medications, allergies, and pharmacy information in the EMR

Provide patient education and follow-up instructions per provider direction

Front Office (as needed)

Schedule appointments and support patient check-in/check-out

Verify demographics and collect required forms/consents

Handle incoming calls, route messages, and support referrals/prior authorizations (as applicable)

General

Maintain clean/stocked exam rooms; track supplies and report shortages

Follow clinic policies, HIPAA, and safety guidelines

Collaborate with the care team to support quality outcomes and patient satisfaction

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

1+ year of recent experience as a Medical Assistant (clinic/ambulatory strongly preferred)

Current  BLS/CPR (required)

Medical Assistant credential preferred (CMA/RMA/NCMA)  or equivalent hands-on experience (based on client requirements)

Comfortable working in an EMR and multitasking in a high-volume environment

Strong communication, customer-service mindset, and reliability

Preferred Skills

Phlebotomy and/or EKG experience

Experience supporting primary care, urgent care, or specialty clinics

Insurance verification and prior authorizations exposure
