Join a High-Impact Federal Engineering TeamWe are seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to support complex federal and mission-critical infrastructure projects. In this role, you’ll serve as a technical leader responsible for fire and life safety systems, code compliance, risk analysis, and infrastructure resilience across high-visibility facilities.This is a long-term contract opportunity offering meaningful project work, leadership exposure, and the chance to contribute to critical infrastructure programs that directly impact operational continuity and life safety.

Key Responsibilities• Lead fire protection engineering reviews and evaluations for complex facilities
• Support fire alarm, suppression, and life safety system design and compliance
• Conduct fire hazard analyses, risk assessments, and performance-based evaluations
• Review construction documents, shop drawings, and specifications
• Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and field surveys
• Interpret and apply NFPA, UFC, IBC/IFC, and related fire protection codes
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and government stakeholders
• Support life safety planning and hazardous materials assessments
QualificationsRequired
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 5+ years of fire protection engineering experience
• 3+ years supporting fire alarm and suppression systems
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and federal fire protection criteria
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain Public Trust or Security ClearancePreferred
• Federal facility experience (DoD, VA, GSA, UFC)
• Experience with healthcare or mission-critical facilities
• AutoCAD and fire modeling software experience (FDS, Pathfinder)
• Performance-based fire protection analysis experience
