Job Description

Job Summary -

Fills physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical, inhalation and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood; prepares labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacy in accordance with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.

Regulatory Requirements

• Have completed enough school to obtain the appropriate internship license or be in the process of obtaining.
• Maintain valid internship license with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education, experience or subsequent training.
• Appropriate certificates or licenses required for the position.

Language Skills

• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Typewriting
• IV Laminar Flow Hood - or willingness to learn.
• Must be motivated to learn.
