We are looking for a Landscape Designer !

Join the leading landscaping company in Chicagoland. Beverly Companies is family owned and has been providing full-service landscaping for both commercial and residential properties throughout the Chicago area for over 27 years. Our services include landscaping, snow removal, paving, & topsoil.

We are one of the largest and best rated landscaping & snow removal companies in Illinois. We are currently members of BOMA/Suburban, BOMA/Chicago, Landscape Illinois, IREM, SIMA, MPBHBA, & Chief Engineer.

The Landscape Designer will report to the General Manager. This position will be responsible for designing, planning, and supporting the execution of landscape installation projects, ensuring designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with client goals. The designer will collaborate with sales, operations, and clients from concept through completion.

Responsibilities:

• Create landscape design concepts, layouts, and planting plans for commercial and residential properties.

• Meet with clients/sales staff to understand project goals, preferences, and site conditions.

• Develop detailed design drawings, renderings, and material selections.

• Collaborate with sales team to support proposals and presentations.

• Coordinate with operations team to ensure designs are executed accurately in the field.

• Select appropriate plants, hardscape materials, and site features based on project requirements and local climate.

• Revise designs based on client feedback, budgets, and site constraints.

• Conduct site visits to gather measurements, photos, and project details.

• Stay current on landscape design trends, materials, and best practices.

• Assist with project planning, including estimating quantities and material needs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in landscape design or related field.

• Proficiency in design software programs.

• Strong understanding of plant material, hardscaping, and landscape construction methods.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Knowledge of Chicagoland plant zones and site conditions preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $80,000 - $100,000

• 401(k) Plan (enrollment available after 6 months and 1,000 hours of employment)

• Health Insurance—Group Health Plan with 50% company contribution (eligible the first day of the month after 2 full months).

• PTO—10 days in the first year, plus 1 additional day earned each subsequent year (max 15 days), accrued monthly.
