Location: UCHealth UCHlth Eye Center AMC, US:CO:Aurora

Department: UCHealth Eye Center Anschutz

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary :

Operates specialized ophthalmic equipment. Performs ophthalmic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities :

  • Under the direct supervision of the eye care provider, assists with performing patient care.
  • Under the direction and supervision of an eye care provider: Performs diagnostic testing. Administers intravenous agents in preparation for retinal angiography. Performs clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area. Provides education to students, residents and staff; assists in orienting and mentoring staff.
  • Provides documentation, patient education and enters charges.
  • Manages patient care and assists with patient flow.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Certified Retinal Angiographer
  • High School diploma or GED. Preferred: Bachelor's degree. Equivalent vocational training will be considered.

    Required Licensure/Certification: Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) within two years of hire. IV certification within 6 months of hire (tracked by the unit).

    1 year of related ophthalmic photography/angiography experience or vocational training.
  • Preferred: 3 years of related ophthalmic photography/angiography experience.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
