Schedule: 40 Hours Days 12p-830p Holidays Required Full-Time
Position Summary: The Patient Transporter is an integral part of the patient care team providing prompt courteous customer-focused service to the patients visitors and coworkers of Boston Medical Center. The Patient Transporter is responsible for patient transport within the hospital and for miscellaneous functions as well. He/she contributes to service excellence by fostering collaboration among and between team members as well as other ancillary departments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: High diploma or GED preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Requires heavy lifting and pushing pulling and standing. Requires the interpersonal skills necessary to communicate clearly to interact appropriately with nursing staff patients families/visitors physicians and other hospital staff. Work requires demonstrated ability to effectively speak read and write English. Work requires ability to follow instructions work independently and efficiently to complete assigned work.
EXPERIENCE: Requires 6-12 months of experience in customer service or hospital experience
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: Obtaining and the maintenance of CPR preferred
Compensation Range: 17.40- 25.85
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education experience and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
