Job Title: Plumber
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plumber to install, assemble, and maintain plumbing systems in a fast-paced offsite manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair water, drainage, and gas lines.
• Read blueprints and follow specifications.
• Cut, thread, and assemble pipe using hand and power tools.
• Inspect systems for leaks and ensure code compliance.
• Maintain septic and commercial sewer systems.
• Collaborate with production teams to meet schedules.
• Adhere to OSHA and safety guidelines.

• Previous plumbing or maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems and materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Familiarity with building codes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Experience in commercial sites such as hospitals, strip malls, malls, call centers, and office buildings.
• Residential experience is acceptable if the candidate knows how to solder copper, read a tape measure, and read blueprints as an apprentice plumber.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial setting within a large manufacturing building in Bessemer. The work environment is an assembly line setup where bathroom modules are constructed. The facility is non-climate controlled, meaning it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The team is currently 130 employees strong, with plans to grow to 200 by next year.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
