Job Title: Plumber

Job Description

A Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing high-quality repairs, and ensuring all work meets local plumbing codes and safety standards. The ideal candidate is skilled, reliable, and able to communicate clearly with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, drainage systems, and water supply lines.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective repair solutions.
• Install and service water heaters, toilets, sinks, faucets, and other fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans.
• Perform leak detection, pressure testing, and system inspections.
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with contractors, inspectors, and other trades as needed.

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and materials.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
• Experience with pipe installation, soldering, and fixture repair.
• Understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
• Valid plumbing license (as required by state or local regulations).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in tight spaces.
• Preferred experience as an Apprentice close to a Journeyman/Journeyman.
• Experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing.
• Knowledge of gas lines, backflow systems, or water treatment systems.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
