Summary:

This is an exciting time in the financial services market and a strong opportunity for an experienced product strategist or product manager within the debit/network industry to join the STAR network. In this role, you will help shape, prioritize, and deliver a risk strategy for debit network products and capabilities. This role focuses on protecting transaction integrity and improving client and consumer outcomes by aligning risk controls, data insights and product roadmaps across internal teams and external network partners.

What you will do:

  • Define and maintain the product strategy and roadmap for debit network risk capabilities (e.g., fraud mitigation, dispute/chargeback risk, monitoring and alerting).
  • Translate payment trends and emerging threats into clear product requirements and investment priorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Risk, Data Science/Analytics, Operations, Compliance and Client teams) to deliver risk features from discovery through launch.
  • Develop business cases for roadmap initiatives, including expected risk reduction, client impact, operational impact and ROI.
  • Establish and track performance metrics (e.g., fraud loss rate, false positives, approval rate impact, dispute rates) and use results to optimize product performance.
  • Lead competitive and market research to benchmark risk tools and network capabilities; identify differentiation opportunities.
  • Support governance and readiness activities: documentation, controls testing, incident learnings, and audit/regulatory support as needed.
  • Communicate strategy clearly through executive-ready narratives, roadmaps, and decision memos.

What you will need to have:

  • 5+ years in product strategy/management, risk product, payments, or related financial services experience.
  • Strong understanding of debit card payments and authorization flows; familiarity with network risk concepts (fraud patterns, monitoring, rules/score-based controls, decisioning).
  • Experience building product roadmaps, writing requirements, and driving cross-functional delivery.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to define KPIs and interpret trends to guide decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

What would be great to have:

  • Experience with debit networks.
  • Exposure to fraud models, risk engines, and case management tools.

How you will work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday from either Milwaukee, WI or Alpharetta, GA. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.
  • This is a full-time, direct-hire position, and no contract options for unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.
  • All offers of employment are contingent on standard background checks. Fiserv and certain of its affiliated companies are federal, state, and/or local government contractors. Should this position support a Federal Government contract, now or in the future, the successful candidate will be subject to a background check conducted by the U.S. Government to determine eligibility and suitability for federal contract employment for public trust or sensitive positions. Positions that support state and/or local contracts also may require additional background checks to determine eligibility and suitability.
