2026 Summer Intern Location: This internship role is scheduled to be flexible. Please be prepared to spend part of your time working remotely and part of your time working from the following location: 2425 Geary Blvd., San Francisco, CA 94115.
Department Description: The Quality department consults on and supports areas including Quality improvement, Quality review, Risk Management/Patient Safety, Infection Prevention, Regulatory affairs, Continuing Medical Education, Graduate Medical Education, and physician Credentialing & Privileging.
Internship Projects: Redesign Quality data sets and/or hospital workflow processes in the area of Infection Prevention, Patient Safety, and/or Quality improvement.
Target Majors: Public Health; Computer Science; Business Administration
Target Skillset: Independent, self-starter who has interned or working in a hospital setting on projects to improve Quality, Safety, and/or Regulatory affairs.

Essential Responsibilities: - Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
- Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
- Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
- Job shadowing in other functional areas.
- Performing additional duties as required.
Basic Qualifications: Experience
Education
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university program, or recent graduate.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
Additional Requirements: - 3.0 GPA or above. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.

Pay Range: $25 - $29.82 / hour Kaiser Permanente is committed to pay equity and transparency.
