ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
------------------
Blazer Jobs is actively seeking licensed Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for short-term school nurse placements in the North Kansas City, MO area. These positions run through the end of the school year and are a wonderful opportunity for nurses who enjoy working with students and want to finish out the year in a rewarding, structured environment.
Two position types are available:
• General Health Room – Serve as the primary nurse for the school, managing day-to-day student health needs, medication administration, and health room operations across a K-12 setting
• 1:1 Nurse – Provide dedicated, individualized care and support to a specific student throughout the school day

• Competitive hourly pay based on position type and experience
• Weekly pay
------------------
SCHEDULE
------------------
• Monday through Friday
• Shift times fluctuate between 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM and 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Candidates must be flexible with shift scheduling

RESPONSIBILITIES
------------------
• Provide nursing care and health assessments to students in a K-12 school setting
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policy
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records via computer-based charting
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators regarding student health concerns
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate first aid
• Support student health plans, including 504s and IEP health-related goals as applicable

REQUIREMENTS
------------------
• Active Missouri RN or LPN license OR a Compact license that covers the state of Missouri (required)
• Comfortable working in a K-12 school environment
• Proficient with computer-based charting (all documentation is electronic)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred
• CPR/BLS certification required
