About Brillante Academy
Brillante Academy Public Charter School opened its doors in August 2023. In our fourth year, we will have Pre-K3 through 4th grade and serve over 530 students from the Rio Grande Valley in the Mission area and surrounding communities in its first year. We will continue to grow one grade-level a year until 8th grade. Over the next decade, we plan to expand our network across the state of Texas to serve over 7,000 students. The Charter Management Organization (CMO) for Brillante Academy is Seton Education Partners, a Catholicly inspired organization that also manages the Seton Teaching Fellows missionary program and El Camino, an optional after-school Catholic faith formation program. Seton Education Partners is also the CMO for our sister schools, the Brilla Schools Network, which are having a transformational impact in Bronx, NY.

Position Overview
We are looking for a mission-driven leader who has an unwavering belief in the limitless potential of ALL students and a proven track record of achieving strong outcomes as a teacher, while also coaching and developing other teachers to lead students to meet rigorous academic and social-emotional goals through intervention and special education services. The Assistant Principal of Student Services leads the vision, implementation, and continuous improvement of special education and student support services on campus. The Assistant Principal directs and facilitates supports for diverse learners, ensuring students receiving specialized services are served with excellence, compliance requirements are met with fidelity, and high-quality Tier 2 and Tier 3 instructional practices are consistently implemented across classrooms. This role manages and develops the Student Services Team, including Special Education Teachers, co-teachers, and related service providers (e.g., SLPs, LSSPs, OTs). Through coaching, observation, and targeted professional development, the Assistant Principal builds the capacity of staff to deliver rigorous and individualized instruction aligned to students goals. Working in close partnership with the Instructional Leadership Team, the Assistant Principal of Student Services is directly responsible for implementing Brillante’s Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework, with a strong emphasis on inclusive practices that enable all students to access rigorous, joyful learning.
