Temporary School Accounting Assistant
Pay: $20.00 $22.00 per hour
Location: Olympia, WA
Schedule: Monday Friday | 3040 hours per week | Weekends Off
Ascend Staffing is hiring a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support financial operations in a school environment . This is a great opportunity for someone with QuickBooks and accounting experience who enjoys organized work, working with numbers, and making a positive impact in the education community.

Training provided
Assist with daily accounting and financial recordkeeping
Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments
Track and monitor grant funds and financial documentation
Maintain accurate financial records and spreadsheets
Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting
Reconcile accounts and verify financial transactions
Support payroll documentation and expense tracking
Maintain organized financial files and documentation
Communicate with staff and vendors regarding financial questions
QuickBooks experience required
Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support experience preferred
Experience with grant funding or grant tracking highly preferred
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Bonus Experience
School, nonprofit, or government accounting
Grant compliance and reporting
State accounting systems
