Warehouse Associate

Pay: $21.00–$23.00/hour
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for receiving and storing inventory, supporting production by issuing materials, processing outbound shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate has previous shipping and receiving experience, strong computer skills, and a commitment to organization and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Enter and maintain inventory transactions using an ERP or inventory management system.
• Organize warehouse inventory to maximize efficiency and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform routine cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy.
• Pick, stage, and issue materials to support manufacturing and production schedules.
• Prepare, pack, and ship customer orders while meeting established deadlines.
• Create shipping documentation, labels, and other required paperwork.
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, and customer service teams to resolve inventory or shipping issues.
• Maintain shipping and receiving records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization and operational efficiency.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Perform additional warehouse and inventory duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience.
• Experience using ERP or inventory management software preferred.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and work independently.
• Reliable work history with consistent job tenure preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday.
• Ability to sit for extended periods as needed.
• Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds independently; heavier items require team lifting.
