Overview
We are seeking dedicated and vigilant Correctional Officers to join our team. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within the correctional facility. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage conflicts, and a commitment to upholding the law while ensuring the rights of inmates are respected. As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring inmate behavior, enforcing facility rules, and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor inmate activities within the facility to ensure safety and security.
• Conduct regular inspections of the premises using CCTV systems to identify potential security breaches.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as necessary.
• Maintain order by managing conflicts among inmates effectively and professionally.
• Prepare detailed reports on incidents, inmate behavior, and daily activities for record-keeping purposes.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Enforce facility policies and procedures consistently while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice or related fields is preferred.
• Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is desirable.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is required; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation of incidents.
• Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
