Job Title: Lab Associate (Microbiology / Molecular Biology) Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Associate to support microbiology and molecular biology activities in a fast-paced lab environment. This role will focus on media and buffer preparation, fermentation support, and analytical testing using standard laboratory techniques.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare media and buffers to support laboratory operations
- Process fermentation samples using standard analytical techniques
- Perform environmental monitoring and maintain aseptic conditions
- Conduct cell viability assays and protein analysis (PAGE gels)
- Assist with fermentation scale-up activities and analytical equipment operation
- Support microbial identification and perform qPCR analysis
- Maintain accurate documentation of lab activities
Required Skills - Microbiology techniques
- PCR / qPCR
- Protein purification and analysis
- Cell culture and cell-based assays
- Aseptic technique
- Media, buffer, and sample preparation
- Fermentation processes
- Environmental monitoring
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field
- 1-2+ years of professional experience (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
- 2+ years of hands-on lab experience (academic lab work acceptable)
- Experience with aseptic technique and cell culture
Experience Level Nice to Have - Experience with fermentation processes
- Exposure to molecular biology techniques (qPCR, microbial ID)
- Familiarity with protein analysis methods

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
